Chlorophyll is very healthy for stimulating tissue growth and red blood cell production. Barley grass has very high chlorophyll content. Chlorophyll also helps to cleanse and detoxify the body by removing carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide and has been shown to reduce the odors associated with body, fecal and urinary output. Along with other nutrients contained in barley grass chlorophyll works to remove harmful toxins such as environmental toxins and heavy metals from the body. It reportedly has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in laboratories but this has not been researched conclusively in humans yet. Chlorophyll is useful as an antibacterial agent to aid in healing the body.
