The sweets are a temptation to us that is very hard to resist. The attractive ads influence our psyche daily without us realizing it and we are attracted to these “delicious” but extremely harmful products.
When we talk about sweets we should ask ourselves this question: what do these sweets contain and how important are they for a balanced nutrition? The basic components are: sugar, margarine, white flour and additives (E numbers). All these products are harmful.

The E numbers, worldwide chemical substances that are introduced in foods, were named in this manner to hide the names of the artificially obtained substances from the buyers. They used the “technical” pretext to use a name that is not dependent on the multitude of the international languages, but the real motive was to not scare the consumer and to make him buying attractive packaged products that may be very harmful.
The additives introduction has not been requested by the consumers. The manufacturers offer them, and people eat them without having to ask many questions. Thus a huge and highly profitable E’s industry was born with a turnover exceeding $ 20 billion annually.
One of the main ingredients is the refined sugar. The sugar is addictive but if you have the willpower you can succeed giving up on sweets that make you fat but also they generate a lot of the health problems.
The human body has adapted itself over the hundreds of thousands of years of evolution to digest and assimilate only the natural combinations of sugars available in fruits and vegetables. The process of a pure substance, obtained by the chemical processes, such as the sucrose, comes with the price of great efforts made by the body and it is a real shock for many organs, causing chain imbalances.
After we eat sugar, it goes immediately into the bloodstream through the small intestine. For a short time the amount of sugar greatly increases and it generates an energy surplus. For the time being the fatigue disappears. Unfortunately after a short time the adverse reaction occurs: for the sugar processing the energy consumption from our body reserves generates an even greater fatigue and sleepiness.
The sugar consumed in large quantities gives the feeling of fullness because it contains a lot of calories. Unfortunately, enzymes, yeast and minerals are missing. To counteract the sugar the body mobilizes its resources of calcium at the bones and dental expense which are becoming increasingly fragile.
Solutions To Overcome The Sweets Addiction
- Eat chromium supplements. Chromium cuts the urge to eat sweets. It naturally regulates the glycemia. The chromium deficiency in the body increases the level of the sugar and the cholesterol in the bloodstream causing fatigue and excessive production of fat and can be an important cause of the cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
- Replace the sweets from supermarket with food containing natural sugar: fresh fruit, honey, and dried fruit.
- Consume fruit and natural juice, especially in the morning. Prepare a fruit salad were you can add some raisins, some nuts and a teaspoon of honey. You will have a delicious breakfast and you will be energetic throughout the whole day.
- Eat snacks between meals based on: fresh fruit, dried fruit (raisins, apricots, figs, dates), and juices (prepared in the house). The natural sugar is necessary for the body and it is digested assimilated easier by the body.
