Natural Pleural Mesothelioma Treatments And Remedies

Pleural mesothelioma is the most common form of mesothelioma and its malignant form is a consequence of prolonged direct exposal to asbestos fibers. There are benign forms of mesothelioma, but most often the tumor is malignant. The inhalation of asbestos fibers subjects those working in unprotected environments to a very high risk of getting this disease, and the risk is increased if the person has other forms of lung diseases, for instance – if he also smokes. Pleural mesothelioma attacks the lungs and lung cells and affects the respiratory pathways. Symptoms for all forms of mesothelioma occur in 20 to 30 years of exposure to asbestos, even more; it is impossible to detect that patients are affected an the diagnose can be given only when it is already too late.

Diffuse malignant pleural mesothelioma progresses rapidly as the tumor spreads along the pleural surface, affecting the pericardium, myocardium, mediastinum; the contralateral pleura invades the chest muscles. Sometimes it directly invades the subcutaneous tissues and skin. The tumor may extend outside the chest affecting abdominal organs and lymph nodes.
