You may have noticed, that when you get out of bed in the morning that you are not stressed. The more you go through the day, the more stressed you get. We get stress from many things, our job, our spouse, our children, traffic, gas prices, bills, money, the list could go on and on. How do you manage your stress? Do you go out and punch a wall or do you control your stress with meditation?
What Are The Benefits Of Meditation In Stress Management?
When our bodies get stressed we should meditate. This calms us down and we are able to think more clearly. We are releasing the negative energy called stress and replacing it with calm. Meditation also allows the body to repair itself and prevent further damage. By using meditation you allow the heart rate and the breathing to slow down and the blood pressure to get back to normal, you sweat less and your mind ages at a slower rate. All of which are very much needed to help you live a longer, happier, and healthier life.
When you are doing meditation you sit in a relaxed position. You want it to be in a room or special place where you will not be disturbed. You want to take 5-20 minutes and focus on clearing your mind, you can focus on a sound or on you breathing or just nothing at all. Many people make meditation a spiritual exercise, but it does not have to be so.
Some good things about the benefits of meditation in stress management is that it is always there. You can meditate whenever you feel like it, it is free, it is very effective in the short term and a major health benefit in the long term. You do not have to have experience to learn to meditate. You can learn to meditate from a book or from the Internet.
Take Some Time Out
Meditation may take some time and practice to get it right and beginners may find that it takes a bit of patience. Mothers of small children may fins it hard to make time to meditate. Making the few adjustments and practicing the routine and a little patience will pay off in the end. You will soon see the results of meditation.
Meditation has no side effects and even people with disabilities can meditate. There is no special equipment to buy. You do not have to pay a professional to help you meditate so in that case it is free. In order for you to get the full benefits of meditation in stress management you have to make meditation part of your everyday life. You have to meditate even when there is something you want to watch on TV, or your friends want you to go out. In short you have to be willing to commit to meditation.
Stay Committed
You do not have to live in stress anymore. When you consider what stress can do to your health you will be making meditation part of your everyday life. The benefits of meditation in stress management are numerous, both long term and short term. When you think about your day I am sure that there is 10 minutes in there somewhere, when you are just sitting sown doing nothing. Now you can use that time to sit down and meditate.

I liked your blog and it would bring hope to many to improve their lives. But I suggest, if i may do so, that you may kindly provide support to those who take up your advice and start meditating. This would clear the initial doubts people face when they start to meditate. Some sort of guidance is needed — a type of hand holding (can be done over the net). People feel better when they can communicate with someone.
And i would like to add one more important fact. That is meditation can be carried out even while watching the TV, going out with friends, taking a walk, buying vegetables in the market, reading a book, writing a blog and talking to people. This is because there are two types of meditation — the intensive meditation and the extensive meditation. The intensive meditation is the one your have written about. The extensive meditation can be done while doing normal activities during the day even while falling asleep — keeping awake, alert and focused in the present moment (people may choose from a variety of techniques for this extensive meditation).
When we combine the two types of mediation we can be in the meditative state for 24 hours without building up negative stress, live more happily and contribute to the society in a better way.
Best wishes to carry on the good work you are doing.
