Men need a nutritional boost in the form of supplements as well to ensure their sperm is healthy enough to make the swim and meet the egg for fertilization. While it may take a few months of ingestion, zinc, selenium and a few other metallic minerals are important for strong sperm development.

General good health is necessary to start, regardless of your fertility diet. You might have to lose weight or quit smoking. It may require nutritious substitutions in your diet such as switching from white bread to whole wheat or butter to an omega 3 enhanced butter spread. Nutrition and tweaking your fertility diet can definitely improve your chances of becoming pregnant.
