How to Get Rid of Tiredness with Proper Sleep

Everyone does not require the same number of hours of sleep each night.  Many people require much less than 8 hours and some require more to awaken without feeling tired and be able to function at their very best each day. To get the proper amount of rest your body needs to repair itself and recover from the previous day you need to determine how much rest your body needs, whether this is 5 hours of sleep or 9 hours of sleep.  Once you know the amount of rest that is required for you set a pattern of sleep and maintain the pattern.  You should go to bed at the same time every night and awaken at the same time each day.  You need uninterrupted sleep so have your physician check you for any underlying causes which may be interrupting your sleep cycle.

How to Get Rid of Tiredness through Good Nutrition

Energy levels are strongly affected by the foods you eat and when you eat them.  Eating just before going to bed can affect your sleep, but eating breakfast begins to fuel your body with energy in the morning.  Most people function best with 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks each day.  You need to find what is best for you.  If eating a large meal brings on a feeling of tiredness perhaps eating smaller meals more frequently is the right choice for your body.

There are some foods that can bring on tiredness such as sugars or energy drinks.  You will get the initial surge of energy but after those effects wear off your energy will begin to falter and leave you feeling as tired as or more so than you were before you had the sugar boost.  Other foods can stay with you and improve your energy levels such as vegetables, whole grains and oats, seafood, eggs and fruits like bananas, watermelon and pineapples.  You might also speak to your doctor to see if a multivitamin taken each day would benefit you. Always check with your doctor before adding any nutritional or vitamin supplements to your diet as some can interfere with prescription medications. Eating a well balanced diet at the proper times of the day for you can help your body produce more energy relieving the feelings of tiredness.

How to Get Rid of Tiredness with Exercise and Activity

Several people who suffer from tiredness say they cannot exercise because they are too tired.  In all actuality, they have it reversed.  They are tired because they do not exercise.  Exercise breeds energy.  It is also effective for improving your brain function and your mood.

Exercise does not necessarily mean you need to go workout at the gym or go run a mile.  Exercise is basic physical activity which can include simple things like a walk to the corner and back or a fun game of tag with your kids.  When you are doing housework that is considered exercise because it is physical movement.  Sitting on the sofa, watching television because you are tired only makes you more tired.  Get up and move, even if it is to walk around your house a time or two.  If you are unable to stand or walk you can do some chair exercises to get the blood flowing and the energy moving.  Every movement counts and once you begin even a very simple amount of movement each day you will soon find that you have more energy and want to do more activity increasing your energy and decreasing your tiredness with each movement.
