- Red Clover Blossoms – Considered to be the most important herb for becoming fertile. It contains high amounts of calcium and magnesium which are necessary to relax the nervous system and promote a fertile environment. It is high in vitamins and proteins which not only benefits the uterus but the entire body. This herb taken daily is useful to help balance hormone levels and promote proper functioning of hormones.
- Nettle Leaves – A helpful uterine tonic which also contains high levels of chlorophyll and minerals to help balance the hormones.
Combining Herbal Remedies for Infertility
Some women choose to make an herbal infusion to be consumed over the course of the day using about 1 ounce of each of these herbs in the dried form. To make an infusion combine 1 ounce of dried red clover blossoms, nettle leaves and raspberry leaf prepared in about 1 quart of boiling water. Allow the infusion to steep overnight and then strain it before drinking it at your leisure throughout the next day.
Another herb that is valued to be very effective in promoting fertility is Dong Quai. It can be added to one glass of your infusion each day. Add only 5 to 15 drops of the tincture to one glass of the herbal infusion on the days between ovulation and menstruation. This herb should only be used in combination with the other fertility herbs and only once daily.
