Detoxing with Ionic Foot Bath

Will soaking your feet in an ionic foot bath rid toxins from your body? That is the premise behind the Ionic Foot Bath. It is based on the same principle ancient far Eastern practitioners have long known – that all parts of the body are connected and interrelated. Because the feet contain a large number of pores (more than 2,000), they are often the best vehicle for easily ridding the body of toxins.

How the Ionic Foot Bath Works

The ionic footbath uses charged water ions in a conveniently-sized, portable spa for your feet. Each treatment combines ionized water with electrolysis to purge various toxins from the body, via opening the pores in the feet.

Ions are a key element in the process. These charged atoms either lose or gain an electron. This creates an electromagnetic field. Toxins in the human body are usually positively charged; this electromagnetic field attracts them, thus allowing the foot’s pores to release them into the water.

The control unit is placed directly into the water. It delivers a low-level electric current that separates out the oxygen and hydrogen particles in the water in order to generate both positive and negative charged ions in the aqueous metals. The negative ions travel through a body searching for ions that are positively charged (toxins), attracting them. This process neutralizes the toxins so they can be drawn out through the skin via osmosis and become a harmless substance in the water of the spa.

At the end of each treatment, the water will have changed color due to the toxins it now holds. The following chart explains the significance of each color:

• Black = liver
• Flecks of black = heavy metals
• Brown = liver, tobacco, and cellular debris
• Dark green = gall bladder
• Orange = joints
• Red = blot clots
• White, Cheesy = yeast
• White Foam = lymphatic system
• Yellow/green = kidneys, bladder, urinary tract, prostrate

Benefits of an Ionic Foot Spa

Because the ionic-charged water releases toxins from the body’s entire system, many people feel they are in general better health after each treatment. They may feel refreshed, invigorated, and find they sleep better at night. For many physiological conditions, the relaxing and detoxifying effects of the ionic foot bath relieve a variety of symptoms. For those suffering from various injuries or accidents, or just experiencing pain, soreness, or stiffness, the foot bath could bring some relief.

In fact, a foot spa treatment could be highly effective for the following conditions:

• Swollen joints
• Allergies
• Arthritis
• Stress
• Headaches
• Hypoglycemia
• Fatigue

Ionic Foot Spa Precautions

As like many other types of treatments, some caution should be taken when using the ionic foot bath for detoxing. Because of the electrical charges, people who use a Pacemaker or other types of medical implants that rely on batteries or electrical currents should never use an ionic foot spa. Those suffering from heart conditions and pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised against it. Organ transplant recipients or persons who have had an organ removed should refrain from this procedure, which affects the organs. There is also a contraindication with certain medications.

For many people, the ionic foot bath is a safe and effective way to manage various ailments brought about, or exacerbated by, toxins in the system. It can be quite beneficial and relaxing, especially at the end of a long, hard day.
