Joint paint can have a devastating impact on your quality of life. Avid sportsmen and women, and outdoor types frequently have to forgo such activities due to pain in the joints. The scientific name for this problem is arthralgia. This condition can be cause by a number of underlying health issues.

health. These foods are easy to come by, and you may be surprised to known that you already consume quite a few of them. These include:
- Vitamins and minerals which can be found in both vegetable and fruit juices. Adding lots of fruits and vegetables to the diet is good for the joints.
- Omega-3 fatty acids can be had in sufficient quantities by eating fish such as sardines, herring and salmon.
- Glucosamine is found in the body but we produce less of it as we age. This is vital for joint health. Good sources are shrimp shells, sweet almond oil, and it is added to many types of sports drinks. It can also be taken as a supplement.
- Manganese assists in the body’s production of glucosamine. It can be found in dark leafy vegetables, whole grains, seafood, beans and nuts.
Natural Remedies for Joint Pain
- Drinking warm water with a half teaspoon of turmeric is great for alleviating joint pains, especially those associated with arthritis. Turmeric is used to treat a variety of ailments, but its anti-inflammatory properties make it a useful for joint pain sufferers.
- Drink 15 grams of fresh bathu juice daily for pain relief. For best results it best consumed on an empty stomach.
- Alfalfa tea consumed twice daily is also useful in this regard.
- Mix equal amounts of kerosene oil and olive oil to make a soothing rub.
- Use a hot and cold compress alternatively if your joint pain is not too severe. This helps with blood flow and the reduction of swelling.
The success of these remedies will of course vary from person to person. If you experience limited pain relief with one method try another until you find something that works for you. A healthy and holistic approach to diet and lifestyle can mean strong joints and a healthy body for years to come.
