conception The definition of conception is the union of the males sperm and the females ovum or egg. When these two items join this is conception, sometimes also referred to as fertilization. Conception can occur natural through intercourse of a man and a women or by medical intervention of a doctor, either way the result is the union of sperm and egg to create a zygote or fertilized egg.

Who Does Conception Effect?

Any woman who is pregnant has experienced conception. This can be through trying to become pregnant or by accidentally becoming pregnant. The male involved can also be effected by conception although not directly. Anyone who has sexual relations has a chance of conception, as this is of course how conception occurs.
